The Heart of the Oyster

What do you know about the oyster
That lives at the bottom of the sea?
She hides from the sight of all in her shell
And does not wish anyone to know her
Or to see her pain or allow others to help her.
But the pain and the tears that once filled her soul,
Now, with her shell opened, and her heart made bare,
Reveal the fruit of her pain,
Her tender heart,
A pearl.
